Writing to us

Use the form. It reaches the people who handle these matters, and a written account of your position produces a better first answer than a call covering the same ground from memory.

Replies go in order of arrival. Anything with a deadline belongs in the opening line.

What to include

• Every nationality you currently hold, and where you are tax resident. Both matter, and they are frequently different.
• Whether you have established what your existing country's law says about acquiring another citizenship. If not, say so — it is the first thing to settle.
• Whether the application would cover you alone or a family, with children's ages.
• Every country you have lived in for six months or more in the past decade.
• How your funds arose and what documents evidence it.
• Anything adverse anywhere: a conviction however old, a refused visa, an open matter, an application to another programme. Screening finds all of it.

Not through the form

Passport scans, bank statements, card details, account credentials. None are needed to answer a question.

Handling

Enquiries are confidential and used only to reply. Nothing is sold or passed on for marketing. Retention is covered in the privacy policy.

Possibly already answered

Several questions arrive weekly and are covered here at length: whether your country permits dual nationality, what changes for tax and what does not, the position for United States citizens and what the whole thing costs.

What no reply will contain is an assurance of approval, or an opinion on your own country's nationality law — the first belongs to the Citizenship Commission and the second to a lawyer qualified where you hold citizenship.
